How to Instantly Transform your Garage Door!

How often do you notice a garage door? If you’re like most people, garage doors are probably practically invisible to you. You might notice a particularly ugly residential garage door, or if a restaurant has a commercial door installed on the front wall you might think about it for a moment, but if you see a totally normal garage door you probably wouldn’t think twice about it. What if we told you that there was a product that could change that completely, and make every visitor notice and remember your garage door?

The garage door takes up a huge space on your home, so it only makes sense to pay attention to it once in a while. If your siding or shutters didn’t match your home well, you’d probably have them replaced – but in many cases, that isn’t the case for your garage door. Homeowners tend to look at the garage door as something set-in-stone, a part of their home that they can do nothing about. Whatever door and opener the builder thought to install tends to be what the homeowners have stuck to since the home was finished, and until the garage door is broken, few people see reason to replace it.

Even if you don’t want to go through the hassle of installing a new garage door, you can still take some simple steps to dress it up, such as using the product that we’re going to be talking about today – garage door posters! Garage door posters are large softcover designs that you can attach to your garage door in order to make it look like something else. Most of the designs are made to have depth if field in the image, so that it looks like there’s no garage door there at all! These posters have pictures of planes, tanks, boats, or sports cars and look as if that vehicle is sitting right inside your garage. Others create optical illusions or look like fanciful faraway places. We’ve included some pictures here which we collected from this article, demonstrating what these posters can look like.

Of course, like all decoration elements, this sort of cover isn’t for everyone, and indeed they aren’t for every neighborhood. Make sure that your Home Owners Association doesn’t have any rules about garage door posters before you order one of these covers, since you don’t want to go through all the trouble of buying and installing a poster just to have a complaint filed against you!

What do you think about these garage door posters? Could you see yourself installing one on your residential garage door, and what do you think your neighbors and friends who say when they saw it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
